Suspect Arrested for Alleged Rape Near Charles River
A 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped near the Charles River after meeting her attacker, Joseph L. Brown, 22, in Harvard Square. Brown, who knew the woman as they lived near each other, was arrested and arraigned in Brighton District Court.The incident occurred after they decided to watch the July 4 fireworks together, crossing the Weeks Footbridge. On the Boston side, Brown allegedly pushed the woman to the ground and raped her. The victim later called a friend for help, went to Cambridge Hospital, and was treated for a head injury.| Creator |
