Sexual Assault Activist Addresses Student-Athletes
Journalist and filmmaker Goldie Taylor shared her personal experiences of childhood sexual assault and an abusive relationship during a seminar. Speaking to about 20 student-athletes, Taylor recounted being sexually abused by a football coach and later living with a violent older man at age 18. She emphasized the long-term psychological damage from her abuse and the importance of supporting peers in unhealthy relationships. The seminar was hosted by the Harvard S.H.O.U.T. campaign to raise awareness about domestic violence. Taylor urged the audience to believe and support victims when they come forward.| Creator |
