Law School Settles Case Of Sex Discrimination

Details the settlement of a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by Clare Dalton, former Harvard Law School professor, who claimed she was denied tenure due to gender bias and filed a lawsuit in 1987. Dalton's case highlighted issues beyond gender as she identified herself as a critical and feminist theorist in an divided school. After six years, Harvard agreed to fund a domestic violence institute at Northeastern University, where Dalton is a tenured professor. Despite settling, Harvard denies any discrimination.
