Harvard Places Fryer on Administrative Leave, Levies Sanctions
Harvard Economics professor Roland G. Fryer, Jr. has been placed on a two-year administrative leave following investigations that found he violated University sexual harassment policies, as announced by Dean Claudine Gay. The sanctions, which come after a Title IX complaint and further allegations of unwelcome sexual conduct and a hostile work environment at Fryer's EdLabs, also led to the lab's permanent closure. During his leave, Fryer is barred from teaching, supervising, or conducting research using University resources. Dean Gay described Fryer's conduct as a betrayal of trust, significantly impacting EdLabs members and the FAS community. Fryer has denied the allegations.| Creator |
