We Assumed Wrongly
The article reflects on the author's experience with Government professor Jorge I. Dominguez, who taught a freshman seminar on the history of Mexico. Despite Dominguez's expertise, it was later revealed that he had a history of sexual harassment, including a documented case in 1983 and further allegations from 17 women. The author criticizes Harvard for failing to take appropriate action against Dominguez, allowing him to continue teaching and placing students at risk. The intimate nature of freshman seminars exacerbated the issue, making students vulnerable. The author condemns Harvard for its lack of proactive measures and for not reaching out to affected students.| Creator |
