The Secret Court of 1920, Cont.
The Court reaches a "guilty" verdict for fourteen Harvard affiliates; the current college students were asked to leave Cambridge immediately. One of the individuals on trial committed suicide before his "guilty" verdict was announced. Moreover, Harvard made it difficult for those expelled to return to Harvard or to transfer to other colleges, threatening to inform the schools of the circumstances that led to students' withdrawals from Harvard. President Lowell did eventually agree to readmit three students tried by the Court.| Creator |
