Survey Reveals ‘Troubling’ Sexual Assault Climate at Harvard, Faust Says
The results of a sexual conduct climate survey at Harvard College reveal sexual assault rates among senior undergraduate females, with 31% reporting some form of nonconsensual sexual contact during their undergraduate time. Among the surveyed students, 16% reported experiencing nonconsensual or attempted penetration.. The survey highlights alcohol involvement in reported incidents, a high portion of sexual assault occurring in Final Clubs and dorm rooms, and the disproportionate impact on LGBTQ+ students. The survey also indicates a lack of trust in Harvard's resources with most students expressing low levels of awareness about the reporting process and definitions of sexual assault.| Creator |
