"Queer Exodus" from Harvard Subject of Facebook Discussion
Many queer faculty members have recently left Harvard in a "queer exodus," the effects of which are compounded by Harvard's failure to promote the discipline of LGBTQ studies. Dean Hammonds developed a working group and produced a report regarding recommendations for resources for LGBTQ students, including an Office of BGLTQ Student Life, which was considered "long overdue" by some faculty members. Overall, interviewed gay faculty members express that while Harvard is accepting, it could do more to be supportive or affirming to its queer affiliates.| Creator |
