Gay Group Marches In Parade

Members of the Irish-American Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Pride Committee marched in the St. Patrick's day parade and were met with slurs and other homophobic rhetoric, having beer cans and smoke bombs thrown at them, and a fistfight. Other spectators supported the group's right to march, while others stated that while they didn't disapprove of homosexuality, the group shouldn't have used the parade for "statements."
