Dominguez Accuser Concerned By Perceived ‘Disinterest’ of Harvard External Review Committee

A woman accusing former Government professor Jorge I. Dominguez of sexual misconduct, along with three other women, expressed concerns about Harvard's external review into how Dominguez was able to perpetrate misconduct over four decades. Eileen Finan from the Office of the General Counsel contacted the women to arrange a meeting with the academics conducting the review. However, the women felt the lack of available meeting time suggested inadequate prioritization. They offered to meet in October, but Finan declined, offering only two alternative dates, one during internal planning and one on Dec. 11, which the women felt would crowd other important meetings. Previously, the same women criticized Harvard's handling of the investigation, alleging they were "stonewalled." Graduate student Sophie Hill noted frustrations with the review process, citing the University's lack of transparency and the need for alternative ways to submit input.
