Widow Killed Near Radcliffe Dorm; Police Cite Britton Case Similarities
Ada Bean, was found bludgeoned to death in her apartment at 41 Linnaean St, a quarter-mile from the site of the unsolved murder of Harvard graduate student Jane Britton a month earlier. Police have not identified any suspects. Both murders share similarities: the victims lived alone, were found with their heads covered, and appeared to have been attacked while sleeping. In Bean's case, her nightclothes were pulled up, and her head was covered with a blanket, having been struck with a blunt instrument. Bean was previously a research secretary at Harvard and other Boston area institutions.| Publisher |
