Students Protest Violence on Campus
Over 150 students, both male and female, marched through Cambridge in the third annual "Take Back the Night" rally to protest violence against women on campus. Organized by the Harvard Women's Center, the rally coincided with similar marches at other campuses in response to recent rapes at Brandeis. The protesters chanted slogans and stopped traffic as they moved from Harvard Square to the Charles River and back. The rally, larger and louder than the previous year, included speeches on women's safety, sexual harassment, and justice for rape victims. The Hong Kong Restaurant sponsored the march, highlighting its support for the Harvard community.| Creator |
