Cliffies Irked by Ticket Rules As Yale Game Called a Sell-Out
Radcliffe women are frustrated by the ticket distribution rules for the Harvard-Yale game, which they see as discriminatory. Harvard men can get free tickets by filing an application, while Radcliffe women must buy $7 tickets with the public. Harvard men receive free coupon books at registration, granting access to home football games and other intercollegiate contests. Radcliffe women, however, pay $2 for coupon books that exclude the Dartmouth, Princeton, and Yale games, as well as hockey games. Harvard Ticket Manager Gordon M. Page noted the lack of facilities to accommodate both men and women and acknowledged issues caused by recent university housing policy changes. The policy's effect, some women argue, reinforces dependence on men, as it forces women to attend games as dates or not at all.| Creator |
