Grad Union Establishes Sexual Harassment Committee
Harvard’s newly formed graduate student union has created the Time’s Up committee to advocate for those who have experienced workplace sexual harassment. Established two weeks ago, the committee aims to support the union’s bargaining committee in creating contract provisions that protect student assistants from harassment. The inaugural meeting, attended by roughly 10 people, focused on discussing potential contract clauses and researching feasible protections. Future plans include connecting with students to understand desired protections, providing training for handling sensitive disclosures, and holding weekly meetings to shape desired changes on campus.| Creator |
